Some of the projects we have developed and designed at Border Water Technologies are outlined below. All of the images can be clicked to view a larger version.
Bio Engineering - At this site in Warwick Bridge the river bank close to a housing development was being extensively eroded during times of high rainfall. To combat this, the banking was reformed and the river was kept at bay by using live willow stakes, faggots and spilling. This picture was taken approximately nine months after completion and has been subjected to several periods of high rainfall with success.
CCTV Survey Whitbarrow Holiday Village - Border Water Technologies Ltd were brought in to undertake a CCTV survey of the foul sewer on one of the Phases of Whitbarrow Holiday Village near Penrith. This was done to highlight defects in the infrastructure which could potentially allow surface water to ingress.
Centre Parcs Holiday Village Penrith - At times of heavy rainfall the data gathered at Centre Parcs showed that surface water was entering the foul sewer infrastructure. We were asked to do a CCTV survey of the drainage infrastructure to highlight areas where surface water was entering.
Reed Bed - Waste water treatment comprising of a treatment plant with horizontal and vertical flow reed beds, serving a small housing development in Castle Douglas.
Diamond Treatment Plant Installation - Installation and associated foul drainage infrastructure serving a single dwelling near Penrith. The installation was adjacent to a river and was into solid sandstone.
Pump Well Installation near Windermere - This is an 18000litre sewage pumping station incorporating 24 hour storage serving a large apartment complex in Windermere.
HiPaf Plant Installation near Ullswater - This is a large HiPaf treatment plant that we installed at a hotel near Ullswater.
Refurbishment of an Adams Hydraulic trickle filter system - This was a treatment system that we refurbished for a large house.
Total refurbishment of an indoor horse menage - This is a horse menage that we have recently done a complete refurbishment on including all the associated drainage underneath the surface.
Design and creation of a large pond - This is a large pond that we designed and created including the installation of a solid oak deck around the edge of the pond.
